About the role
The Royal Infirmary Edinburgh Department of Laboratory Medicine Infection Science (Bacteriology) is seeking two Biomedical Scientists (Band 5) to join their team. This is a fixed-term position lasting 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of routine and specialist procedures in Microbiology
- Aid in the diagnosis of disease and the treatment of patients
- Participate in the 24/7 working system as training progresses
Requirements
- Candidates must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Experience in a Microbiology laboratory is preferred
- An IBMS accredited degree or equivalent will also be considered
Qualifications
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- IBMS accredited degree or equivalent
Skills
- Motivated and enthusiastic
- Hardworking
- Experience in Microbiology laboratory
- Ability to work in a 24/7 system
