257183 (EP) Advanced Clinical Pharmacist

NHS Lothian is recruiting an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist based at Pennywell All Care Centre, Edinburgh.

About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to strategic and operational planning, particularly regarding clinically and cost-effective prescribing, across the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and NHS Lothian to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients.

Responsibilities include leading, planning, organising, and delivering a specialist clinical pharmacy service within agreed standards of pharmaceutical care for an identified patient population, safely and effectively within defined limits of responsibility, resources, and activity. The role also involves leading the development of the specialist clinical pharmacy team and service across the service area in line with established guidelines and standards.

This post requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.

Requirements

• Demonstrate relevant permission to work in the United Kingdom, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.
• PVG Scheme membership or a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult).
