About The Role
As a key member of the Critical Care multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Have valued input to the daily consultant-led ward rounds, reviewing a varied caseload of surgical and medical patients who may require multi-organ support.
- Use your role as an independent prescriber to optimise patient care.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical guidelines and to multidisciplinary and Pharmacy meetings.
Clinical specialties seen within the busy general Critical Care unit include Hepatology, Renal Medicine, Transplant Medicine, Vascular and General Surgery, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Toxicology, Gastrointestinal Medicine and Neurology.
Responsibilities
- Optimise complex medication regimens for critically ill patients.
- Contribute to quality improvement, service development, and medication safety initiatives.
Requirements
- A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent).
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Completed training or equivalent competence mapped to the RPS Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum.

Pay
£54,863 - £61,466 (including weekends, on-call and public holiday commitment).
