Job Purpose

To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients, medical and nursing staff by providing comprehensive and effective clerical and administrative support.

To ensure patient appointments for clinics, day cases and in-patient admissions are administered and processed accurately and that patients’ health records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available as and when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and processing of patient appointments for clinics, day cases and in-patient admissions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of patients' health records.
  • Provide comprehensive and effective clerical and administrative support.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience in a similar administrative or clerical role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are desirable but not essential:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
