About the role
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for performing merchandising functions within the dairy area to include stocking dairy products, rotation, ordering product, inventory maintenance, and displays. Ensures that all aisles of the dairy area are kept neat and clean at all times. Responsible for meeting customer needs through providing well-stocked and accurately priced merchandise to promote an optimal opportunity for sales.
Responsibilities
- Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
- Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers upon fulfilling their requests.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
- Perform merchandising functions within the dairy area, including product stocking, pricing, signing, and inventory maintenance.
- Return excess stock to the back room area.
- Unload dairy merchandise from trucks and ensure damaged and reclaim items are handled properly.
- Assist Front End operations in retrieving shopping carts, bagging, and carrying out customer orders.
- Perform sanitation, safety, and pricing duties within the department in accordance with corporate and state regulations (e.g., cleaning shelves and floors).
- Responsible for the maintenance of cooler and case temperatures.
- Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
This role involves physical activities such as lifting, stocking, and moving merchandise, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
