21st Century Site Coordinator: Finley Middle and Elementary Schools
Reports to: 21st CCLC Program Director. Supervises: 21st CCLC Site Staff. FLSA: Classified Non-Exempt (200 days per year). Location: Finley Elementary & Middle School. Bilingual in Spanish/English required.
About the Role
The Site Coordinator is responsible for coordinating student academic programs, culturally relevant enrichment programs, family skill building programs, adult education programs, student activities, and other components developed as part of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers extended day programs.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate written and oral communication skills.
- Coordinate multiple services to meet the needs of students and families at school sites.
- Develop effective educationally enriching activities for students and families with school staff, parents, and community partners.
- Work with ESD 123 staff, community resources, and school staff in a team approach to identify and align services for students and families.
- Demonstrate successful experience working within timelines with several partners at a time.
- Facilitate activities with students on school sites as needed.
- Coordinate all events, speakers, cultural programs, and creative arts programs for the project.
- Travel to scheduled events with students involved in 21st CCLC site activities.
- Perform data entry and monitor a data collection system in cooperation with the evaluator to efficiently capture information for reporting.
- Develop brochures and distribute them to students, staff, families, and community partners on programs offered at 21st Century Learning Community Centers.
- Assist in the identification of students and families in need of prevention and counseling services; utilize resource and referral mechanisms for service delivery.
- Provide school staff with updates on the project and outcomes.
- Link students, families, and the community to the project.
- Recommend individuals for hire to staff program offerings.
- Assign duties and responsibilities for 21st CCLC site staff, aligned with job descriptions.
- Provide or coordinate professional growth opportunities for staff members at the site.
- Support and implement ESD 123 policies, regulations, procedures, and administrative directives.
- Actively participate in school and community advisory committees for the 21st Century Learning Centers Project.
- Submit records, reports, and assignments promptly and efficiently.
- Appropriately assist with referrals to services for students and families.
- Complete monthly reports including a calendar of upcoming events.
- Maintain records of trainings and report on events conducted.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Two years of experience working with school systems in a certified teaching or para-educator position.
- Experience in coordinating multiple tasks and programs.
- Experience and ability to work effectively with students and adults.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- WSP/FBI background clearance required.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
- Knowledge of Washington State Educational Reform, including Grade Level Expectations and required state assessments.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules, including some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Follow all applicable Board Policies/Procedures and program requirements.

Pay
Hourly Rate through Aug. 31: $29.09 (step 1/year 1). Hourly Rate (26/27 SY) starting Sep. 1: $29.85 (step 1/year 1) - $33.60 (step 5/year 5). Paid once a month on the last working day of the month. Receives an average monthly gross paycheck based on the number of days and hours assigned to the work calendar (Sept 01-Aug 31) and placement on the salary schedule. A full work calendar for this position is 200 days and 8 hours per day. Example gross monthly paycheck for a full work year: $3,980 (step 1/year 1) - $4,480 (step 5/year 5).

200 days per year, 8 hours per day. Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends required.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an office environment; however, travel is required to local school districts and program sites, and for workshops, committee representation, and conferences at local, regional, and state levels. Sitting for extended periods may be required. Lifts and carries a maximum of 35 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary. Hazards are those present in a normal office environment; no known significant hazards.
