Job Description
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) STEAM Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of the STEAM program in grades 5-9. This position involves assisting with curriculum development, managing classroom resources, and facilitating student engagement activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing STEAM curricula tailored to the needs of students in grades 5-9.
- Manage classroom resources including materials, equipment, and technology.
- Facilitate interactive and engaging STEAM activities that promote critical thinking and creativity.
- Support teachers in planning and executing STEAM lessons.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the effective delivery of the STEAM program.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in education, STEAM-related field, or a related field, and at least one year of experience working with youth in a STEAM setting. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
