About the role
As a 2027 University Intern – Finance/Accounting, you will gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects that help build your technical and professional skills at Phillips 66. Possible positions include roles in the following groups: Finance Performance & Analysis, Controllers, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit. In addition, you will get hands-on experience and insight into a future position with Phillips 66.
Responsibilities
- Participate in orientation, training events, field trips, social activities, and weekly seminars to learn about Phillips 66’s five segments: Midstream, Chemicals, Refining, Renewable Fuels, Marketing and Specialties.
- Opportunities to meet and interact with functional leaders.
- Engage in continuous coaching conversations with your supervisor for guidance throughout the internship.
- Work with a devoted mentor to address role challenges and navigate corporate workday questions.
- Present at the end of the summer to senior business leaders and key stakeholders, demonstrating what you learned and providing insight on your experience.
About the Finance/Accounting function
Our Finance/Accounting function is responsible for translating business events into the financial story for Phillips 66. We partner with business leaders to provide information and insight used to make business decisions. Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field of study
- Greater than 30 hours of earned college credit
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later
- Available for a minimum of ten continuous weeks
Preferred qualifications
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
- Pursuing a minimum of 6 hours of Accounting
- Willing to work in Houston, TX or Bartlesville, OK
Pay
This position has a pay range of $2,097 – $3,080 bi-weekly, dependent on a candidate's degree type and expected graduation date.
