About the role

Mary Kay University is a 10‑week summer internship program that provides undergraduate and graduate students with real‑world business experience across a variety of functions. Interns work within Mary Kay’s Information Technology (IT) team, which supports the global business through application development, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and digital platforms.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree at an accredited university (full‑time undergraduate or part‑time/full‑time graduate).
• Rising junior or senior preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred degrees: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
• Analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
• Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and collaboration skills.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, APEX, .NET).
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Basic knowledge of business requirements gathering and analysis.
• Artificial Intelligence knowledge (preferred, not required).

Pay

All internships are paid, starting at $20 per hour.

Schedule

The internship runs for 10 weeks from late June to mid‑August, Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week, with an in‑office presence of 4‑5 days per week. Locations are the Global Headquarters in Addison, TX, or the Manufacturing/R&D Facility in Lewisville, TX.
