Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical functions to multiple construction projects including submittals, RFIs, scheduling assistance, document organization, processing owner and subcontract AIA bills, subcontract coordination, cost engineering, and general project administration.
• Assist in coordinating field operations and supervising specific phases of a project to ensure installations comply with contract documents, per the project schedule, and meet our high standard of quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with the set-up of project files.
• Assist with administration of project closeout (if applicable).
• Assist with development of trade scope packages.
• Work closely with Project Engineer and Assistant Project Manager on day-to-day project requirements such as RFIs, PCOs, submittals/procurement, and meeting minutes.
• Aid in the review of submittals for compliance with contract requirements.
• Track and maintain subcontractor/supplier contract requirements.
• Maintain daily logs and tracking for multiple projects.
• Comprehend contract documents, submittals, cut sheets, and coordination drawings for specific areas and/or subcontractors under supervision.
• Assist with the review of contract scopes of work and ensure subcontractors perform work in compliance with requirements.
• Review the master schedule and assist in developing and maintaining a short-term progress schedule; aid in developing crew flows and durations for each activity and monitor subcontractor compliance.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent to update the Superintendent and Project Management team on material and equipment shipments and deliveries.
• Perform daily safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment and that all personnel use necessary personal protection devices per the Donohoe Safety Program.
• Establish effective working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
• Participate in weekly Subcontractor Foreman meetings.
• Assist in preparing Daily Work Reports.
• Contribute to projects ranging between $40MM and $100MM.

Requirements

• Preferably working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Construction-related discipline such as Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Previous experience (e.g., internships) in construction management.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of Project Management software.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic understanding of construction means, methods, and procedures.
• Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a flexible environment and adapt to changing tasks.
• Demonstrates a desire to learn and a drive to excel.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
