About the role
The Westfield Specialty Intern Program is a paid, ten‑week summer internship (June 7 – August 13, 2027) that provides students with firsthand insight into the insurance business. Interns work side‑by‑side with senior leaders on dynamic projects, build professional networks, and receive classroom and on‑the‑job training. High‑performing interns may be considered for full‑time employment after graduation through Westfield’s Trainee Program.

Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze technical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to implement solutions.
- Develop digital solutions and improve user experience on digital channels.
- Create, test, and roll out solutions.
- Work on a software or systems engineering team to build, code, and automate applications.
- Design and implement systems for network, storage, public and private cloud.
- Attend team meetings, participate in discussions, and suggest process improvements.
Desired qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 (strong GPA preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
- Leadership experience through work, community service, athletics, clubs, or other activities (preferred).
- Technically adept and digitally savvy.
- Ability to be onsite in the office four days a week.
Pay
This is a paid internship. Interns will be compensated at a rate of $25 per hour.
