EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop is pleased to announce its open call for the SIP Fellowship. This intensive fellowship is designed to introduce artists from multiple disciplines to printmaking. We invite artists seeking creative exploration through printmaking, regardless of expertise, to apply their creative knowledge and conceptual goals to the print medium.

About the Fellowship

  • 1 year free EFA RBPMW membership
  • Unlimited EFA RBPMW studio access during workshop hours
  • $2,000 stipend
  • 6-session SIP Orientation Program including in-depth studio orientation, intaglio, lithography, screenprinting, relief, and monotype techniques
  • 3 EFA RBPMW classes
  • Group exhibition the year following the fellowship year
  • Material and supply storage
  • Access to exhibition and portfolio exchange opportunities through EFA RBPMW membership

Eligibility

  • Artists living and working in New York State
  • No affiliation with any institution as a full or part-time student
  • Not currently in a residency program during the SIP fellowship term
  • No prior fellowship from EFA RBPMW in the past 2 years
  • Prior printmaking experience is not required; artists working in other media are encouraged to apply

EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (EFA RBPMW) is the oldest and longest-running community print shop in the United States. It is a cooperative printmaking workspace providing professional-quality facilities to artists and printmakers of every skill level. EFA RBPMW is committed to inspiring and fostering its diverse artistic community, dedicated to the making of fine art prints in an environment that embraces technical and aesthetic exploration, innovation, and collaboration. The workshop seeks to improve the overall quality of fine art printmaking by providing low-cost, unfettered access to printers, equipment, and education.
