2027 Mechanical Engineer Full-Time

About the role

A passionate and innovative mechanical engineer is needed to join LyondellBasell as an Entry Level Associate Mechanical Engineer. This role offers opportunities to improve plant reliability, provide technical support, and lead large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support the development and implementation of ideas to improve plant reliability.
• Work to reduce maintenance costs and increase operational efficiency.
• Provide corporate-level technical engineering support to plant engineering and capital project groups.
• Develop standards for mechanical equipment and implement long-term reliability improvement programs.
• Provide daily engineering support and technical assistance on repairs to plant equipment.
• Ensure projects comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage all aspects of a project, from concept through construction.
• Interface with outside companies for engineering, purchasing of materials, and construction.
• Maintain responsibility for the project budget and timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
