About the Program
Key’s Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that provides meaningful work, feedback, coaching, and engaging events to spark interest in a full-time career at Key post-college. Interns contribute to line-of-business projects impacting Key’s strategic pillars, network with teammates across all levels, participate in Learning Labs on Key’s competitive landscape and professional development, and receive mentorship.
Key’s Finance organization acts as a strategic partner, providing financial insights, performance analysis, and advice to drive revenue growth and relationship strategy. The Controllership function (Accounting) collects, analyzes, and consolidates financial data and prepares regulatory and external financial reports.
About the Role
Key’s Finance/Accounting internship offers hands-on experience with projects across the Finance organization. Interns are assigned to a specific team, working on near-term deliverables, ad-hoc projects, and presentations. The program includes networking with the Finance Leadership team, training, self-study, and skill-building events. Interns may be considered for full-time placement in the Finance Analyst Rotational Program after graduation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development of financial projections
- Build, utilize, and interpret financial models
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Report and measure line of business performance
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare and post journal entries
- Compile external reports for regulators and stakeholders
- Create presentations for leadership
- Collaborate with business partners
Requirements
- Graduating with a four-year or graduate degree by May 2028, with coursework in finance, accounting, economics, and/or data science (preferred)
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from work experience or extracurricular activities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Pay
This position offers an hourly rate of $23 per hour and a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus.
