About the role

Nomura’s Investment Banking Summer Internship Program offers a nine-week internship in our Taipei office, beginning in June 2027. The program provides first-hand experience and insights into a career in investment banking, including orientation and induction training, followed by hands-on work alongside our investment bankers on various projects.

About the team

Our Investment Banking (‘IB’) group delivers advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, private equity firms, governments, and public-sector organizations globally. With a strong track record in Asia and deep expertise in growth markets, we offer innovative financing, advisory, and risk solutions to clients across geographies, industries, and products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in orientation and induction training, including business overview sessions to learn about Nomura’s products and divisions.
• Work alongside investment bankers on diverse projects, gaining meaningful responsibilities and exposure to real-world tasks.

Requirements

• Open to students from all academic backgrounds in their penultimate year of study.
• Must be available for the full duration of the program (June to August 2027).
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

We seek individuals with outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements who thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. While no specific degree is required, strong quantitative skills, curiosity, diligence, integrity, and a keen interest in business and finance are essential. Team players who can adapt to challenges and demonstrate individual excellence are ideal candidates.
