Piper Sandler is seeking a Class of 2027 Investment Banking Analyst for our Technology Investment Banking team in Boston, MA. The Analyst Program
The Investment Banking Analyst Program is a rigorous program for exceptionally qualified individuals. Analysts work closely with senior bankers to make a real impact on our clients’ businesses through involvement in all facets of investment banking activities.
- Equity and debt offerings
- Valuations
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Leveraged buyouts
- Strategic advisory work
On a day-to-day basis, our Analysts:
- Create financial models
- Conduct financial valuations
- Create and maintain industry-specific business development books
- Conduct industry- and company-specific research
- Interact with clients and senior bankers
Our environment is collaborative, demanding, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial. Top analysts are invited to stay on for a third year. Direct promotion to the Associate level is available for strong performers without an MBA.
Analyst Training & Development
Our analyst program begins in June 2027 with training at our headquarters in Minneapolis. New analysts attend from offices around the U.S. Training is designed to give analysts a broad understanding of our firm and its capabilities, as well as a strong technical foundation.

Social and team-building activities take place throughout training to help new employees build strong relationships among their peers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, management, or other related fields required
- Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
- F-1 (student) visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis are not eligible for this role
- Demonstrated academic achievement as well as leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to create innovative solutions, articulate complex ideas, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with finance, accounting, and financial modeling is strongly encouraged

Pay
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $110,000 per year. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation, which will be part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
