About the Role
2027 Internship Solutions Platforms positions at Caterpillar’s Engineered Solar Turbines provide students with challenging projects that play a key role in supporting gas turbine package and system design, as well as associated development activities. Under the guidance of mentors, students gain meaningful work experience while being exposed to the entire corporate environment through training courses, networking events, and facility tours. Interns complete a challenging project that allows them to apply classroom education to real work situations.
Positions are available in mechanical, controls, systems, software, and display development fields. This internship is an eleven-week program.

Requirements
- Currently pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
- Must be classified by school in Fall 2026 as one of the following: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Overall GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
- Previous internship experience.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good business/technical judgment.

Pay
Summary pay range: $26.00 - $43.00 per hour. An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
Schedule
This position requires working onsite five days a week. Relocation is available for this position.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Posting dates: July 23, 2026 - December 30, 2026. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen.
