This position is part of Northrop Grumman’s Vehicle Engineering Directorate within the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic, people-focused environment, interacting with users, customers, and other developers. As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of vehicle engineering specializations.

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Requirements

• Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college/university, graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Previous internship/co-op experience.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Involvement in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Pay

Undergraduate degrees (including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $18.50 to $33.50 per hour.

Master’s degrees: $26.25 to $41.50 per hour.

Internship pay rates are standardized and take into account the anticipated graduation date, cost of labor in the geographic location, and whether the internship is technical or administrative.
