About the role

The 2027 Global Payments & Liquidity Internship at Wells Fargo is open to recent graduates and students currently pursuing a bachelor's degree. The program focuses on gaining experience and exposure to Global Payments & Liquidity, promoting professional development, and business skills growth through on-the-job experience, training, and exposure to senior leaders.

Program Overview

Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) is a market leader in providing working capital solutions to businesses of all sizes, including small businesses and large corporations. The internship is a 10-week program designed to immerse participants in various business areas within GPL to identify a post-internship career track that aligns with their long-term goals and interests.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the sourcing, structuring, underwriting, and execution of payments & liquidity transactions as an active member of a deal team.
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze financial statements to support payments & liquidity recommendations.
  • Leverage market, industry, and company research and analysis along with product knowledge to ensure the success of business development efforts.
  • Work with teams on a variety of tasks, including compliance and risk management responsibilities.
  • Provide information to colleagues and managers to support the completion of deliverables, issue resolution, and the delivery of business initiatives, communications, and other materials to internal stakeholders and clients.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 or May/June 2028.
  • All majors welcome.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.
  • Strong critical thinking and data insight skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, support customer strategy, learn quickly, adapt to change, and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Ability to execute with urgency, manage projects and workflows effectively, support product delivery, and drive operational excellence with an enterprise mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships, present professionally, prepare proposals, foster an inclusive environment, and actively seek and apply feedback.
  • Strong business acumen and customer understanding, with the ability to support treasury management, product delivery, and excellent service that drives customer-focused business outcomes.
  • Ability to act with integrity, apply risk controls and compliance requirements, and support well-managed, controlled payments and liquidity operations.

Program Duration

The 2027 Global Payments & Liquidity Internship runs for 10 weeks, from June to August 2027.

Pay Range

  • New York, NY & San Francisco, CA: $43.27-$43.27 hourly
  • Charlotte, NC: $36.06 - $36.06 hourly
  • Minneapolis, MN: $39.91 - $39.91 hourly
