About the role
This 10-week Corporate, Investment Banking & Markets (CIBM) Summer Intern Program is designed for rising seniors and provides hands-on experience in global finance. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. The program runs from May 31 to August 6, 2027, and is based in New York City.
On-the-Job Experience
- Build the foundation for a long-term career in global finance through a structured 10-week program.
- Placed within a specific group to develop valuable skills and knowledge quickly.
- Work alongside MUFG professionals at all levels who serve as instructors and mentors.
- Support deals and client-focused projects by conducting financial analysis, modeling, research, and assisting with pitch books and presentations.
- Gain an insider’s perspective on serving multinational clients with complex financial needs.
Training
- Begin with one week of in-depth technical, financial products, and/or markets training in New York.
- Receive continuing on-the-job training throughout the 10-week program.
Support & Guidance
- Paired with a mentor/manager to set goals, provide professional development, and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements
- Undergraduate student graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- GPA of 3.3 or above preferred, with recommended coursework in finance, accounting, or economics.
- Strong interest in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
- Technologically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong verbal, writing, mathematical, and statistical skills.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, individual initiative, self-discipline, and integrity.
- Ability to work well independently and in teams, collaborating across the organization.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role is $45 per hour.
