About the role

Ambitious engineering students with a passion for innovation are invited to join LyondellBasell as a Chemical Engineer Co-op/Intern. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that enhance plant safety, environmental performance, and profitability, contributing to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize day-to-day operations and identify/implement improvements to plant safety, environmental, and profitability performance.
  • Evaluate and develop major projects and debottlenecks as a Process Engineer.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the corporation, developing and improving systems for excellent process safety and environmental performance.
  • Create and refine process models for predictive control systems as a Control System Engineer.
  • Provide technical support to polyolefin customers through visits and internal/external fabrication trials as a Research and Development Engineer.
  • Drive innovation by developing new materials and processes as a Research and Development Engineer.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
  • An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
