About the role

Ice Miller is seeking summer associates to join our New York office in the private equity, M&A and leveraged finance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunities to develop direct working relationships with our attorneys to enhance your research, writing, and presentation skills,
  • Staffing on active transactions,
  • Guidance, mentoring, and regular feedback,
  • In-depth training focused on professional and substantive legal skills,
  • Opportunities for client contact,
  • Social events and team building activities, and
  • Competitive compensation.

Requirements

  • Excellent academic credentials,
  • Excel in a team environment,
  • Demonstrate leadership skills,
  • Have prior work experience, including legal, military, or service industry experience,
  • Be curious, motivated, and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments,
  • Manage their time and their projects diligently, and
  • Have prior experiences that prepare them to work with attorneys, staff, and clients from cultures and backgrounds different from their own.

Qualifications

  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States,
  • An undergraduate degree and enrollment in the JD class of 2028 at an accredited law school,
  • In New York, only students for our transactional practice are hired who have undergraduate degrees in business, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, or economics.

Skills

Pay

New York compensation for this role is $4,134 weekly.
