2026 Only New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Program – Future Opportunities

About the role

Join our team as a new graduate nurse through Mary Washington Healthcare’s partnership with Vizient for their evidence-based nurse residency program. This program offers flexible start dates, unit-based orientation, monthly seminars, comprehensive onboarding, and ongoing mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an evidence-based Vizient curriculum with interactive learning and peer support.
• Engage in unit-based orientation with dedicated preceptors.
• Attend monthly seminars focused on clinical and professional development.
• Complete hospital and Epic training during onboarding.
• Receive ongoing mentorship and support from clinical leaders and educators.

Requirements

• A Virginia RN license must be obtained prior to your start date.
• Constant walking, standing, use of arms and hands; frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs., push and pull 20 lbs., and work in confined spaces.
• Must possess critical thinking and analytical skills, multi-tasking abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to cope with difficult situations.
• Must be able to work in various shifts including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Must be able to work in potentially hazardous environments such as those involving radiation, toxic chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and driving for clinical positions in Mary Washington Home Health and/or Hospice.

Qualifications

A Virginia RN license is not required at the time of application but must be obtained prior to your start date. No specific education level is required at the time of application, but candidates should be recent graduates with a strong interest in nursing.
