2026 Internship, Fall - Game Presentation & Entertainment
About the Role
RBNY is one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league’s ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. The First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, and its Second Team plays at Montclair State University. RBNY is owned by Red Bull GmbH and is a three-time MLS Supporters’ Shield winner, a two-time Conference Champion, and the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation’s premier youth soccer development programs, with an Academy ranked among the top in the country.
This internship is designed for college students interested in live sports entertainment and production. Interns will assist in creating a unique fan experience on match days at Red Bull Arena, learning about entertainment, stage management, video board production, and other aspects of game presentation. This is an unpaid, for-credit internship (proof of credit is required).
Responsibilities
- Serve as a stage manager for partnership presentations, in-arena host live hits, and additional events.
- Ideate new elements to enhance the fan experience on match days.
- Assist with script writing and overall production elements.
- Prepare for and execute in-house production for sporting events.
- Work with equipment and shadow various roles in a live control room.
- Engage with supporter groups and develop new ways to integrate them into match entertainment.
- Brainstorm new traditions and supporter involvement elements.
Requirements
- Undergraduate student with an interest in Game Entertainment, Field Marketing, or Production.
- Prior experience in sports or entertainment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently on assigned projects.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and nights for events.
- Ability to work well in a team-focused environment.
Assigned hours may vary due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry and will include nights and weekends.
