About the role
Materion offers a paid internship program designed to provide hands-on professional experience in various areas such as Process Engineering, Quality / Continuous Improvement, Environmental, Health & Safety, Manufacturing Operations, Commercial Sales & Marketing, Research & Development, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain, Communications & Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, and Semiconductor. Interns will work in fast-paced, team-oriented environments with opportunities to contribute to future technologies that impact daily life while focusing on safety and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within Materion's diverse departments.
- Gain practical experience in a variety of engineering and business fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different disciplines to solve complex problems.
- Participate in group business challenges and executive luncheons.
- Attend coffee chat professional series and receive mentorship.
Requirements
- Junior or higher enrolled in relevant engineering, business, finance, accounting, communications, computer science/IT, semiconductor, materials science, metallurgical, mining, chemical, civil, optical, mechanical, manufacturing engineering, or geology coursework.
- A curious and creative approach to problem-solving.
- A willingness to learn from people of all ages and backgrounds.
- U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.

Pay
Pay range: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour. Actual base salary offered varies based on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
Schedule
Internships typically run from May to August, with flexible hours to accommodate project needs.
