About the role

The wait staff is responsible for creating guest satisfaction through both the food and beverage AND the hospitality program through preparation, preparedness, and presentation. The wait staff is also responsible for the correct handling and preparation of all food items and monetary transactions to ensure our Guests' satisfaction at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages to park guests
• Operate cash registers
• Help maintain cleanliness and safety of assigned stand while providing quality service to park guests
• Communicate well and with volume to guests
• Maintain proper stock levels for all serving, kitchen, dining and condiment areas are stocked with supplies; alert Team Leader to supply shortages
• Mop floors, wipe off counters, sweep, empty trash and complete other general cleaning duties
• Take proper payment and make change for food and beverage items using a cash register
• Interact with our guests and make their day incredible through meaningful connections
• Share your passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment with your team
• Deliver fast and accurate service
• Contribute to an exceptional track record for safety

Requirements

• Must be 16+ years old
• Must have prior Wait Staff experience
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs

Qualifications

• Regularly work in noisy, hot, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
• Regularly move about facility and stand for long periods of time
• Regularly lift and carry at least 30 pounds
• Regularly walk or stand 100% of shift
• Regularly reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently

• Ability to spend consecutive hours standing and walking throughout the park
• Ability to handle unsatisfied guests with gracefulness and be solution oriented
• Ability to provide guest service according to OC Waterpark standards
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area
• Ability to report all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
• Ability to meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
• Ability to meet OC Waterpark's attendance requirements as outlined in OC Waterpark's attendance policies
• Ability to adhere OC Waterpark's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
