About the role

The cashier position is responsible for creating guest satisfaction through preparation, preparedness, and presentation of the food and beverage program. The cashier handles monetary transactions, prepares and serves food and beverages, operates cash registers, and maintains cleanliness and safety of the assigned stand while providing quality service to park guests.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions, ensure quality service, and resolve complaints
• Serve food in correct portions to follow proper food cost procedures
• Communicate clearly and with volume to guests
• Maintain proper stock levels for serving, kitchen, dining, and condiment areas; alert Team Leader to supply shortages
• Perform general cleaning duties: mop floors, wipe counters, sweep, empty trash
• Handle payments and make change using a cash register
• Provide guest service according to OC Waterpark standards, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area in compliance with OC Waterpark safety guidelines; report unsafe conditions to supervision
• Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods
• Adhere to OC Waterpark’s attendance policies, Rules of Conduct, costuming, and grooming standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs

Physical Demands

• Work in noisy, hot, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
• Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time
• Lift and carry at least 30 pounds
• Walk or stand 100% of shift
• Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep, and wipe frequently
