About the role

Sarasota Jungle Gardens is seeking a Cashier with Cafe experience to join their team. The ideal candidate should be dependable, have transportation, be able to work weekends and holidays, and possess excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the location and answer any questions or as needed.
• Aid and serve customers, assist in locating various products, and resolve complaints.
• Conduct food service tasks including food preparation, beverage sales, food handling, dish room duties, dry stock management, perishable food inventory management, and cleaning.
• Handle cash transactions using cash registers, electronic scanners, and other related equipment. Ensure accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift. Process returns or exchanges according to store policy.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred if certified in ServSafe.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Strong verbal communication skills are necessary.
• The ability to operate cash registers, calculators, or scanners is required.
• Necessary mathematical skills to make change and give refunds are important.
• Knowledge of the company's products and services and customer-related policies is beneficial.
