What Will You Be Doing?
The Safety internship is designed to provide enrolled students insight, and exposure into the operations of a Safety Department within an airline. The intern will work closely with departmental management in assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. This internship is for Fall 2026 -9/9/2026 - 12/11/2026 based in Denver, CO.
- Aid the Sr. Manager of Operational Safety Program with the Company’s Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA)
- Aid the Sr. Manager of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Internal Evaluation Program with the performance of SMS and IEP, identifying non-conformance with regulation or company policy throughout the Company
- Aid the Manager of Regulatory Compliance, with gathering information for FAA regulatory requests
- Aid the Manager of Occupational and Environmental Compliance in researching and analyzing data regarding regulatory matters concerning OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Hazardous Materials
- Receive, compile, and analyze aviation safety related reports
- Prepare and write reports, documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited four-year institution of higher learning
- Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficient verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Able to provide own housing and transportation during internship

Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled
Supervision Received
Close Supervision: The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently.
