About the role
Gerdau’s G.Future Leadership Development Program is designed to develop future leaders for the company. Participants will engage in an intensive 18-month program that includes on-the-job learning, classroom training, coaching, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Solve large- and small-scale problems, such as creating mechanical components/assembly drawings, and proposing business methods to optimize product output and prioritize processes.
- Manage the strategic implementation of overall business goals.
- Participate in the Mentorship Program, gaining guidance from experienced professionals and understanding Gerdau’s values and business culture.
- Visit customers and suppliers to gain in-depth knowledge of the business from start to finish.
- Work with various levels of Gerdau North America and travel to different locations in the US and Canada.
- Tackle organizational challenges and interact with other G.Futures from across North America.
- Develop managerial, interpersonal, analytical, and technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Material Sciences/Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree obtained within the past 3 years, or expected to be obtained by Summer 2025, December 2024.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Preference for a degree-related internship experience.
- A maximum of 3 years of full-time work experience.
- A well-rounded background with leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities.
- A high level of learning agility and a willingness to adapt and develop continuously.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- The ability to travel to various locations within the United States and Canada during the program.
