2026 Database Engineer Technical Intern (Jan and May 2027 hires)

About the role

This internship position represents an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest information technology centers in the Wasatch front. The Database Engineer intern will work with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.

Responsibilities

• Administer on-premises and/or cloud databases
• Migrate databases from on-premises to cloud database solutions
• Compile reports on implementation and data
• Monitor processes and make recommendations for efficiency and accuracy
• Craft management reports to communicate status
• Seek opportunities to improve processes
• Work with state-of-the-art tools to help support enterprise database solutions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited college or university (must start within one year of graduation)
• Aptitude to learn database systems
• Solid business presentation skills (ability to articulate technical concepts clearly—visually and verbally)
• Technology background is highly preferred
• Good organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with and providing information to management levels

Schedule
