About the role
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Data Scientist for the Data Science Artificial Intelligence Department (DSAID) in Information Systems Cyber Division (ISCD). The position will be full time at our Colorado Springs, CO office with project deployment in Boulder, CO. Must be available to work onsite at this office location.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing machine learning and data science experiments, in the domains of natural language processing, computer vision, time series analysis, reinforcement learning, etc.
- Testing, experimentation and deployment of ML-powered systems
- Evaluating technologies and data science models for use in scalable and resilient mission-critical applications
- Collaborating with teams of various sizes to deliver features and products
- Presenting written and verbal results to customer stakeholders
- Reinforcing an environment of learning and progress with team members and others

What You Need to be Successful
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university program in Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline, pursuing or conferred within 12-14 months. Minimum GPA of 3.00-1 year of industry work experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with and understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence, software engineering, and statistics
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Willing to travel occasionally to customer sites

- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) from an accredited college/university program in Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline
- GPA 3.5 or higher
- Active security clearance

Pay
(Min - Max) $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 Pay Basis: Annual
