Description
The City of Oregon City offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Building Official to lead a high-performing division in a dynamic and evolving development environment. With more than 2,000 permits issued annually and continued residential growth, this role provides the opportunity to guide code administration, modernize service delivery systems, and ensure safe, compliant development in one of Oregon’s most historic communities. Retirement (PERS):- Benefit availability and amount depends on PERS status. For new PERS enrollees, PERS is available the first of the month following 6 full months of employment. The City picks up the 6% of gross salary contribution for the employee.
457(b)/401(a) Retirement Plan:- The City will contribute a percentage of base salary into a 457(b) or 401(a) deferred compensation plan on behalf of the employee, dependent on employment agreement. Employees may additionally contribute funds to a 457(b) plan from their paycheck.
HRA-VEBA- The City contributes a percentage or flat amount into this account each month, dependent on employment agreement.
FSA:- Employees may sign up for a pre-tax health savings plan; this is funded with deductions from your paycheck.
Employee Assistance Program: 5 free confidential counseling sessions per incident, per year, per employee or dependent.
Holidays: The City recognizes 12 paid holidays during a calendar year and 2 additional days given as floating holidays.
Vacation: Accrual starts at 8 hours/month (regular full-time status) and is based on hours worked, length of service, and employee group.
Sick Leave: Accrual is around 10 hours/month (regular full-time status) based on hours worked, length of service, and employee group.
Gym Membership: Regular status employees can receive a $15 per month reimbursement towards a gym membership fee.
Payroll and Direct Deposit: Employees are required to sign up for direct deposit. Pay is monthly on the last working day of any given month.
