This position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA or Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and support cost proposals.
- Compile cost and pricing data for the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
- Support a variety of proposal activities (Firm Proposals, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs), pricing exercises) to meet program and business goals.
- Collect and review Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and cost data from functional representatives and estimators.
- Interact with other functional areas (Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering) to coordinate applicable cost and pricing data to meet proposal requirements and deadlines.
- Prepare cost reports, cost volumes, and initiate required Peer Reviews and P&E Compliance Checklists.
- Support major captures and Pricing and Estimating (P&E) teams across the Business Units (BUs).
- Maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance, and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics.
- Coordinate activities and participate in fact-finding meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a Business-related field.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite).
- The ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Persistence and tenacity to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
- Knowledge of government regulations: FAR and DFARS.
- Ability to use/modify automation tools for the overall Pricing and Estimating team to minimize required administrative tasking and focus on estimating and analysis.
- Experience with BOE Tool Suite.
Pay
Salary range: $54,400 to $94,600 for campus hires. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
