This position will be located in one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Mojave, CA. Relocation assistance is available. An active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special access. U.S. citizenship is required.

About the role

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Test & Evaluation Engineering directorate. This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01) or Engineer Aeronautical (T02) level.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test aerospace systems and specialty test equipment, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of test activities to ensure safe, efficient, effective operations.
  • Analyze test data, resolve anomalies, and communicate results and status to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01)

  • Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
  • Be majoring in or have majored in Aerospace Engineering or a similar STEM degree.

Engineer Aeronautical (T02)

  • Be completing or have completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution or be completing or have completed a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and have 2 years of Aeronautical engineering experience by August 2026.
  • Be majoring in or have majored in Aerospace Engineering or a similar STEM degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and participation in professional, community, or extracurricular activities.

Pay

  • Associate Engineer Aeronautical (T01): $62,300.00 – $114,400.00
  • Engineer Aeronautical (T02): $75,100.00 – $137,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
