About the role
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Electronics or Engineer Electronics to join our Avionics Integration organization at our Aeronautics Sector locations in San Diego, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, or Palmdale, CA. The selected candidate will research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including:
- Radar and radiation detection equipment
- Radio, television, and other communications equipment and systems
- Circuitry components
- Analog and digital computers
- Control and test equipment
Requirements
Associate Engineer Electronics (T01)
- Completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
- Majoring in or has majored in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Ability to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Final approved U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start
Engineer Electronics (T02)
- Completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
- Majoring in or has majored in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM degree
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Ability to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Final approved U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
- Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience
- Leadership and teamwork capabilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Professional, community, or extracurricular activities
Pay
- Associate Engineer Electronics (T01): $74,000 - $111,000
- Engineer Electronics (T02): $89,400 - $134,200
The above salary ranges represent general guidelines. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
