About the role
The Security Specialist supports warehouse and distribution operations within a mission-critical Government logistics environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze, plan, advise, operate, or evaluate the implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting classified information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
- Evaluate, maintain, and/or operate systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
- Implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
- Ensure new employees receive required Security training and all employees receive required Security refresher training.
Responsibilities
- Program implementation, program evaluation, identifying and resolving security related issues, and advising organizational leadership on appropriate Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection within the past five (5) years.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Physical Security, Operational Security (OPSEC), and Antiterrorism/Force Protection within the past five (5) years.
- Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
