About the role
This long-term substitute assignment will cover a leave of absence for a Secondary Special Education (Autism) Teacher at Boltz Middle School. The assignment is scheduled to begin August 10, 2026, and continue through approximately November 6, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, general education teachers, and school staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Colorado teaching license or Substitute Authorization.
- Experience in teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Knowledge of special education methodologies and resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Pay
The substitute will be paid the long-term substitute rate of $185.00/day.
Schedule
The schedule will be determined based on the needs of Boltz Middle School and the availability of the substitute teacher.
