What You'll Do
- Provide Comprehensive Student Support:
- Deliver individual and group counseling addressing academic, personal, and social concerns
- Conduct assessments to identify student strengths, challenges, and barriers to success
- Create personalized support plans that foster healthy development and emotional well-being
- Aid in crisis intervention and emergency response for students facing challenging situations
- Maintain accurate, confidential records ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
- Support students in navigating academic pathways and goal-setting
- Provide guidance on post-secondary education and career exploration opportunities
- Collaborate with teachers and families to develop effective intervention strategies
- Help students build resilience, self-advocacy, and decision-making skills
- Implement programs and workshops promoting positive mental health and conflict resolution
- Lead bullying prevention initiatives and social-emotional learning programs
- Collaborate with leadership to create safe, inclusive, and supportive school environments
- Stay current with counseling best practices and mental health trends
- Work within multidisciplinary teams to address comprehensive student needs
