About the role
The social worker is an integral part of the school team that supports students and families, developing intervention plans to keep students attending school and on track socially and academically.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements intervention plans to support students and families.
- Coordinates school-based and community-based resources to support student success.
- Possesses strong knowledge of childhood and adolescent development, family crisis intervention, and culturally responsive practices.
Qualifications
- New York State Education Department certification as a School Social Worker is required.
- Certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is also required.
- Work experience in childhood settings is preferred.
- Effective attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27, 2026, is required.
Benefits
Salary is highly competitive based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.
