Social Worker - 2026/2027 School Year

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social and emotional challenges
• Act as the primary liaison between the school and external service providers for student support
• Manage crises and behavioral health emergencies to ensure student safety
• Lead child abuse reporting and communication with the Department of Human Services
• Conduct home visits to assess and support family needs
• Connect students in challenging circumstances with appropriate community resources
• Oversight of student assistance programs and implementation of school-wide intervention strategies

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and trauma-informed care
• Familiarity with child welfare reporting and community resources
• Proven ability to build relationships within a diverse school community
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Skilled in tracking and analyzing student intervention data
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced school environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, especially for New Jersey locations

Pay

$60,900 – $102,500 annually
