2026-27 Probationary Math Teacher

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a balanced approach to mathematics instruction, fostering both conceptual understanding and procedural fluency.
• Utilize differentiated instruction strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse ability levels.
• Engage students actively through instructional techniques that promote participation and confidence in mathematics.
• Integrate instructional technology effectively to enhance learning.
• Implement assessment practices for progress monitoring and instructional planning.
• Build strong relationships with students, supporting their confidence and proficiency in mathematics.
• Apply culturally responsive teaching practices.

Qualifications

• New York State Teaching Certification in secondary Mathematics (required).
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, active student engagement strategies, instructional technology, and assessment practices.
• Ability to work with students of diverse ability levels and backgrounds.

Pay

Highly competitive salary, based on experience and graduate credits, in accordance with the Rush‑Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.
