  • New York State Teaching Certification in Math 7-12 is required.

Description

Seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure track secondary Math teaching position starting in the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Math curriculum and the developmental needs of adolescent students, as well as culturally responsive teaching and relationship-building practices. All classes in the Alternative Program are co-taught with a special education teacher, and average 8-12 students. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, strategies for active student engagement, use of instructional technology, and assessment for progress monitoring and planning. Rush-Henrietta seeks math teachers who excel at developing relationships with students of diverse ability levels to build their confidence and proficiency in math, who implement culturally responsive teaching practices, and who support student social-emotional wellness.

  • Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
