2026-27 Lecturer Pool Department of Management/Marketing (Marketing)
California State University, Bakersfield invites applications for the 2026-27 Lecturer Pool in the Department of Management and Marketing (Marketing). Positions are temporary, part-time, and available for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year and must be resubmitted annually.

About the Role
The Department of Management and Marketing at CSU Bakersfield accepts applications for part-time lecturers on an ongoing basis. This pool is used to fill short-term, temporary lecturer positions lasting from one day to a full semester. Appointments are made as needed throughout the academic year, and applications are valid only for the current academic year (closing May 31st).
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA or related graduate degree in the relevant field, or
- Bachelor's degree and significant professional experience in the relevant field.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or related graduate degree in the relevant field
- 3+ years of work experience
- Prior teaching experience, particularly with a diverse, undergraduate student body
Pay
Salary is dependent on educational preparation and experience, with appointments subject to budgetary authorization. The salary ranges for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification are as follows:
- Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 - $6,677
- Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 - $14,523
- Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 - $15,211
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Salary is pro-rated for part-time assignments.
