2026-27 Grade 3 Elementary Anchor Choir Director

Purpose Of Position

Minnetonka Public Schools has multiple elementary choirs for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. One grade 3 choir is located on the East side of elementary buildings and another on the West side.

Assignment Details

• Dates: 2026-27 school year
• Practices: After school one day a week on Thursdays; times to be determined

Requirements

• Minnnesota K-12 music license (vocal/classroom), preferred
• Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary age children in a choral setting
• Knowledge of children's voices, and in particular strategies for working with boys and girls of this age in a choral program
• Evidence of sufficient piano skills to help singers learn their parts
• Demonstrated success in developing a rapport with young students and their parents, including excellent communication and human relations skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy for the child voice
