This position supports Preston Middle School and is stationed at the intersections of Rock Creek & Ziegler. School hours are 7:30 am to 2:25 pm.
Duration: One year only. Work calendar days: 190.
About the role
Maintain the safety of student pedestrians as they cross designated intersections on their way to and from school.
Responsibilities
- Assist students safely across the street at designated crossings.
- Communicate with assigned supervisor or the Director of Transportation regarding incidents that occur while on duty.
- Wear appropriate equipment at the assigned crossing.
- Report promptly at the designated time to the assigned school crossing.
- Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must complete District-required professional development courses in a timely manner.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
Pay
$16.69–$18.69/hour (minimum 12% above minimum), based on qualifications and experience. Hours per day: 2.
