2026-27 21st CCLC (ATB) Enrichment Instructor - Multiple Sites

Temporary position available at multiple sites.

Purpose

The Instructor provides instructional programming within the school site and monitors students in a variety of settings to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with teachers and/or parents to convey information.
  • Monitor individual and/or groups of students in settings such as classrooms, playgrounds, field trips, libraries, lunchrooms, and bus loading/unloading to ensure compliance with guidelines and maintain safety.
  • Refer incidents (e.g., personal injuries, altercations, suspicious activities, rule violations) to appropriate site personnel for follow-up.
  • Report observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g., accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, safety conditions) to instructional or administrative personnel.
  • Respond to situations such as injured students, fights, or vandalism to resolve immediate safety concerns or direct to appropriate personnel.
  • Support personnel to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Perform other related duties (e.g., securing gates) to ensure the efficient functioning of the work unit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills to perform single tasks using existing skills, including adhering to safety practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic math, reading and following instructions, and understanding written and oral instructions.
  • Understanding of concepts of grammar and punctuation, stages of child development, learning styles, age-appropriate activities, and school safety and security practices.
  • Ability to schedule activities, collate data, use basic job-related equipment, and work with diverse individuals and data.
  • Flexibility to work with others, follow defined processes, and operate equipment using defined methods.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify issues and select action plans within prescribed guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups and work as part of a team.

Work Environment

  • Physical demands include some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity.
  • Generally requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing.
  • Performed under some temperature extremes and conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.

Pay

$27.00/hour through timesheets.

Schedule

  • Class times range from 2:15 PM - 4:30 PM.
  • Days of the week: Wednesday and Thursday.
