[2026-2027] Visual Arts Enrichment Specialist - Elementary or Middle School

About the role

The Visual Arts Enrichment Specialist will work in elementary or middle schools to provide arts education programs that enhance students' learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement visual arts curriculum aligned with school district standards
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate visual arts into existing lesson plans
• Provide art instruction to students in small group settings
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in K-8 setting
• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of visual arts techniques and materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for teaching and inspiring young artists
