Theater Occupations Teacher
About the role
This position is located at LAS VEGAS-Academy of the Arts. The primary responsibilities include teaching theater subjects.
Responsibilities
- Teach theater subjects to students
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
- Mentor and support student development
- Participate in department meetings and professional development activities
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent work experience including dates of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application
- Must possess or be able to acquire a teaching license from the Nevada Department of Education (NDE)
- Must be certified in a relevant subject area
- A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card is required
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Theater Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
