2026-2027 SY - Athletic Coach - E-Sports

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to achieve individual and team success.
• Instruct and demonstrate behaviors that promote socially acceptable character development, self‑discipline, self‑confidence, and pride of accomplishment.
• Upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.
• Work with students interested in sports, providing practice support and advice for team success.
• Teach and enforce rules and regulations.
• Advise, coordinate, and support high school assistant coaches and middle school coaches in conjunction with the athletic director and principals.
• Reports to the athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the high school principals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Must hold or have the ability to obtain an Athletic Coaching License (7‑12) from the New Mexico Public Education Department.
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Coaching online exam offered through the New Mexico Activities Association.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport (major sports).
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and commitment to examine new theories and procedures.
• Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.

Pay

Fixed salary of $2,000.00 (minimum and maximum).

Schedule

On‑site attendance required; work includes evenings and weekends.
